According to Japanese Ministry of Finance trade statistics, April exports of shuttleless looms fell by 87% or 1,403 looms from the same month of the previous year to 209. In value, exports dropped 91% to 563 million yen.
Exports to China were maintained at the 150-loom level in February and March, but declined to 88 in April. It was the second lowest level next to the 132 looms exported to China in January.
January-April exports amounted to 895 looms worth 2,578 million yen, down 85.6% (5,324 looms) in volume and 89.5% in value.
