Karl Mayer has new commercial director

KARL MAYER has a new commercial director since the beginning of February. As of February 1, 2009, Dr Helmut Preßl has taken over responsibility for this area, and is working in conjunction with the managing director, Herr Fritz P. Mayer.

From 2005 up to the time when he took on this new position, Dr. Preßl, in his role as commercial director, was responsible for the carve-out of Dematic from the Siemens Group into medium-sized, independent companies, as well as for restructuring them. He became the commercial director of Dematic’s global business, which operated as a medium-sized, independent company.

He is looking forward to bringing his commitment and knowledge to bear in a medium-sized, family-run company. He believes that his primary function is to support the process of reorganization that is currently under way, and to coordinate international networks — an area in which he has had a great deal of experience.
